Ok, even though I just got my Yurie figure, I shot some photos of my Shima Katase figure first. She is from Stellvia, a very fun and enjoyable series. I especially enjoyed it because Carrie Savage voices Shima in the English dub. Well, I hope you enjoy my first anime figure photos!
This figure is made by Max Factory and is 1/6 scale. I actually just got this figure a week or two ago. I also slightly damaged it when I was placing her on the plastic base. I used a little too much force and made a crack in it. Luckily it didn't crack all the way due to the Stellvia logo being a sticker.
As a bonus, here's a slideshow I made and put on YouTube.
Well, here's my start of sharing the excitement of opening a new package. Oh, and Anita wants to show off :P!
Oh noes! 2 giant packages of dewm XD!
Well, it's probably obvious what is in one of them.
Wall scroll!
Shakugan No Shana.
I actually haven't seen the series yet, but I do have the box set. Looks like the wall scroll has some wrinkles, but I got it cheap so meh.
Yurie from Kamichu!
Recommended for ages 14 and up and it says choking hazard not for small children under 3 years. Isn't that kind of redundant? I mean I'm all for protecting people, but I'm always amused by things written on products. You know, like the totally obvious common sense of do not ingest. Who's dumb enough to ingest random chemicals and stuff? Anyways, I'll try to take some good pictures of the Yurie figure and my others (I only have like four right now) some time later. I don't have much of a setup to make great looking pictures, but I'll try my best.
The first post on my first blog! I've created this blog to share my life as an otaku living in Minnesota. I'll try to keep things anime related, but sometimes I'll just post random things. Look forward to anime reviews, figure shoots, Japan related stuff, and misc fun. I'm not sure how often I'll post, but we'll see ^_^. I just feel like sharing and hope others can enjoy this ever growing hobby.
Why are you still reading this, go watch some anime!
